Directive on Privacy for Dietrich’s Technology

Dietrich’s has always placed the highest importance on the protection of your privacy. Upon entry into force of the European directives on the protection of sensitive data in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as of 25 May 2018, we have improved our data protection once again. Below, we describe how we handle your personal data in our undertaking.

You can usually use our website without indicating any personal data. The user cannot and will not be identified in person. Again, we place the greatest value on anonymity of the data. Your information in the contact forms will be forwarded to our customer service without delay. Personal data such as name, address or your email address are treated confidentially and will not be passed on to any third parties without your express consent.

Who is the controller for processing activities?

The controller within the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for processing of your personal data is Dietrich's Technology GmbH, Hauptstraße 37, D-85579 Neubiberg.
Phone +49 89 61 44 21 0, Telefax +49 89 61 44 21 44, Email kontakt@ dietrichs.com

When and for what purpose do we collect any personal data?

Dietrich's collects, records or processes data only for exercising its own business purposes and those of its subsidiaries. In principle, our websites are available to all users without collecting any personal data. Personal data are requested, processed and used only at the scope at which it is necessary in order to render requested services or provide any contents.

Recording of general information

When you access our websites, general information will automatically be recorded. This information contains, for example, the type of the web browser used, the operating system used, the domain name of the Internet Service Provider and similar (e.g. server data/server log files). This only includes information that does not permit any conclusions as to your person. Additionally, these data are generated as well when accessing any other website on the internet. This is not therefore a specific function of our website. The information collected in this manner is statistically evaluated by us.

Handling your personal data

When handling personal data, all necessary, technical and organisational safety measures are used in order to protect your personal data appropriately from unauthorised access and misuse at all times. In order to protect the security of your data during transmission, we use encryption procedures (SSL) via HTTPS.
Our employees are obligated to observe the provisions of the GDPR when handling personal data.

Use of cookies

Our websites do not currently use so-called "cookies".

Newsletter

In order to register for receiving our newsletters, the specially marked fields, such as form of address, name and email address must be completed - all other information is given freely. The entered data are only used for the purpose of using the newsletter service. The users may be informed about the circumstances that are relevant for the service or for registration (e.g. changes to the newsletter offer or technical situations) by email. The registration takes place in a double opt-in procedure. After entering your data, you will receive an email with a confirmation link that you need to click again. The registrations for the newsletter are logged for legal grounds. The following are stored: Registration data, login, confirmation, logout time, internet protocol address and changes to the stored data.
Our newsletter is sent either via our own servers (nl.dietrichs.com) or via service provider CleverReach GmbH & Co. KG, Mühlenstraße 43, D-26180 Rastede (cr.dietrichs.com). The email addresses of our recipients and the data described are stored on certified servers of CleverReach, in the European area exclusively. CleverReach uses this information to send out, statistically evaluate the newsletters on our order and to optimise the servers. The data are not used independently by CleverReach, e.g. for contacting, or passed on to any third parties. We have concluded a data processing agreement with CleverReach in which CleverReach commits to protecting the data of our recipients and to process them on our order in accordance with the applicable provisions on data protection, and to not pass them on to any third parties. The data protection statement of CleverReach can be found here.
By sending out the newsletter, we also analyse user behaviour using web-beacons. This collection concerns data such as the internet protocol address, request time, content of the request, access status, transmitted data volume, browser type, operating system and user interface. Other web-beacons are associated with your email address and linked to a dedicated ID. The ID will not be linked to your indicated data, so that personalisation can be excluded.
You may withdraw your consent to newsletter dispatch at any time. By your revocation, your consent to future processing of your personal data, sending by CleverReach and the analyses expires. A link to revocation and therefore unsubscription of the newsletter can be found at the end of each newsletter. Additionally, you can always send us your revocation to us by fax +49 89 61 44 21 44.

Contact by email or contact form

If a web user contacts us by email or contact form, the information provided by him or her will be stored for the purpose of processing your request and for possible subsequent questions.

Server data/server log files

For technical reasons, among others the following data that your internet browser transmits to us or our webspace provider are recorded

  • Website that you currently visit at our site

By confirming it, you will leave the Dietrich’s pages and get directly to Facebook.com. Dietrich’s cannot influence which user data Facebook records, how they will be processed or whether they will be passed on to any third parties. Information on the data recorded by Facebook and their processing can be found in the data protection declaration of the social network.

YouTube films with expanded data protection mode

On our website, we have videos of the YouTube, LLC 901 Cherry Ave., 94066 San Bruno, CA, USA, a company of Google Inc., Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, embedded.

We use the expanded data protection mode option provided by YouTube.

When you call up a page that has an embedded video, a connection to the YouTube servers is established and the content is presented by communication to your browser on the website.

According to YouTube, data (which pages you have called on our site) will only be transmitted to their server if you actually look at the video. If you are logged in with YouTube at the same time, this information will be associated with your member's account at YouTube. In order to bypass this, log out of your member's account before you call up a video.

Publication of job offers / online job applications

Your application data will be collected and processed by us for the purpose of processing the application procedure. If your application is followed by conclusion of an employment contract, your transmitted data may be stored by us in your personnel file for the purpose of the common organisation and administrative process, under observation of the relevant legal rules.
If your application is rejected, the data transmitted by you will be erased automatically two months after disclosure of the rejection. This shall not apply if any statutory requirements (e.g. the burden of proof under the general law on equal treatment) require longer storage or if you have expressly consented to longer storage in our potential applicant database.

How long do the data remain stored?

We comply with the principles of data avoidance and data economy. We therefore only store your personal data for as long as it is necessary to achieve the purposes named here, or for as long as the legislator intends in its diverse storage periods. After loss of the respective purpose or the expiration of these time limits, the corresponding data will be routinely blocked or deleted according to the statutory rules.

Passing on of data

Your personal data will not be transferred to any third parties for any other than the purposes referred to below. We will only pass on your personal data to third parties if you have expressly given you consent in accordance with Article 6(1) GDPR.

Passing on data to a third country

As far as our service providers or partners are headquartered outside of the European Economic Area (EEA), we will inform you about the consequences of this circumstance in the description of the offer.

Access, rectification, erasure and blocking, right to object

You can request information on the data stored concerning your person from Dietrich's at any time. You may also demand rectification, erasure and blocking of individual personal data at any time.

You may furthermore exercise your objection right at any time without giving any reasons and modify or completely withdraw your declaration of consent effective for the future at any time. You may transmit your revocation to Dietrich's either by mail, email kontakt@ dietrichs.com or by fax +49 89 61 44 21 0.

Amendments of our provisions on data protection

We reserve the right to occasionally adjust this data protection statement so that it always corresponds to the current legal requirements or in order to implement changes to our services in the data protection statement, e.g. by introducing new services. The new data protection statement shall then apply to your new visit.

Data protection officer

If you have any questions on data protection at Dietrich's, our data protection officer will be gladly available to you.
